eeeeyyyyy we got some moodboards that are for Sailor Moon today! I’ve been a Sailor Moon fan for almost as long as I’ve been a Godzilla fan, and still find the manga and 90s anime (Crystal is a hot mess, sorry) to be cute, fun, and endearing.
Soooo, here we have Sailor Moon/Usagi Tsukino, Sailor Mercury/Ami Mizuno, Sailor Mars/Rei Hino, Sailor Jupiter/Makoto Kino, and Sailor Venus/Minako Aino. I will say that Sailor Moon’s moodboard was the most challenging because her aura color is white not pink like it appears in the anime. But how do you represent white without the collage looking washed-out? So I did my best 😭
For reference, if you want to know the true aura colors of the senshi, it’s best to stick to the manga art since it’s what Naoko Takeuchi envisioned for the series in the first place.
Sailor Jupiter may be my favorite Sailor Senshi followed by Sailor Uranus and Sailor Moon herself. How about you guys?
